Man on gun and ammunition charges remanded

A young man who was allegedly caught with an illegal firearm and ammunition was today remanded to HMP Dodds.

Aaron Thomas, 22, of Clapham New Road, Christ Church, was not required to plead to having the illegal gun and bullets when he appeared before Magistrate Wayne Clarke in the Holetown Magistrates’ Court.

Thomas is charged with having a firearm in his possession without a valid licence along with 13 rounds of ammunition on August 31, 2022.

The accused man who was represented by attorney-at-law Simon Clarke was remanded to prison until October 3.
