A flash-flood watch is in effect for north western districts.
The Barbados Meteorological Services (BMS) says a light, south-easterly wind regime, adequate moisture and daytime heating are generating localized activity across north-western districts.
The forecasters say rainfall could accumulate to 1 to 2 inches, resulting in flooding in the watch area.
The BMS said the watch will be terminated at 6 p.m. or sooner based on conditions.
A flash-flood watch is issued when heavy or excessive rainfall in a short period of time (generally less than 6 hours) could result in flash flooding within the watch area. It does not mean that flooding will occur, but it is possible.
