Award-winning Mount Pure Mineral Water in Barbados

Grenada’s award-winning natural mineral water brand has officially launched in Barbados.

Mount Pure Mineral Water, which is already on the shelves in some other parts of the Caribbean, will now be available locally, through sole distributor Olori Angalia Organics Inc.

“We give thanks and praise to be here to participate in a necessary movement to provide our people in the Caribbean with a scarce and vital resource – water. Water is a key staple in man’s diet, and without it our bodies will become compromised and eventually immobile,” said Waldo Clarke, speaking on behalf of the distributor, at the media launch over the weekend.

“This . . .  not only brings us closer to being one in the Caribbean but its priceless utility and health benefits are unprecedented and can be vindicated from the wealth of satisfied users.”

Chief Executive Officer of Mount Pure Mineral Water, Rolanda McQueen, expressed similar sentiments, saying that with the high rate of diabetes and other non-communicable diseases being reported across the region, citizens must take heed to ensure they drink more water, especially what his company produces which is rich in healthy minerals.

“Most of us spend our money when we get sick. Diabetes, high blood pressure, you name it – as a people, we are suffering from it because of what we are drinking,” she said.

“Water is no longer [just] water…. It is a pleasure to know that we have good water in the Caribbean.” (SB)
