Share FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 535 A feeling of true contentment radiated throughout the hall of the Power in the Blood Assembly on Friday night as veteran gospel singer Paula Hinds commemorated 50 years of ministering through song. The concert called Pour Me out God was a testament of her continued journey in this realm as she displayed her phenomenal vocals. This celebration did not focus solely on the riveting vocals of Hinds. She was joined by a cadre of fellow sisters in Christ and music, who though tasked with providing supporting vocals, each had the opportunity to showcase her individual talent. They each shared their message through song bringing their own essence to the musical showcase. This vocal support was provided by Psalmist Chairon Holder with an upbeat rendition of It is Coming From My Heart. Her presentation resonated and with her rousing delivery she brought the audience to their feet. Elder Suzette Peters’ tone had a calming effect on Like the Dew and Yahweh by Melissa Batson was also well delivered. Vocal offerings were also made by Debbie-Ann Jemmott with Silver and Gold and the youngest member of the line-up Latoya Layne who sang Lord I’m Available. Paul Hinds dropped to her knees in praise. Hinds’ musical selection for her worship medley highlighted the strength of her voice as she captivated her audience from her first note. Among the songs delivered by the seasoned performer were I Just Want to Be and Everything. However, it was during her performance of I Exalt Thee that the songstress was so moved by the message that she offered her praise knelt on the stage. She fittingly concluded that segment with For You Are Great. The groups’ voices paired beautifully as they blended harmoniously on the melodies. Hinds is a natural storyteller and her banter kept attendees entertained. In a light-hearted moment at the close she treated some attendees from Germany to a rendition of Beautiful Barbados as the patrons joined in. Elder Suzette Peters. The cast was supported musically by an ensemble led by musical director Trevaughn Cyrus. Fellow musicians Dwayne Norville, Adrian Hurley, Mark Layne and Machel Maynard completed the band. The concert ended in an impromptu upbeat song service, where attendees eagerly joined in to end the night on a high.
