They were recognised in different areas such as outstanding academic performance, work ethic and improvement in their grades. With the assistance of the organisation’s corporate partners, the charity was able to give the students gifts, vouchers and other necessities to make their Christmas more memorable. During the event, held at the Derrick Smith School and Vocational Centre in Jackmansl on Saturday, president of the charity Dwayne Grazette said that although there were challenges reaching out to donors, it was important to hold the Christmas programme given that a number of children depend on the initiative because of their disadvantaged circumstances. He thanked those who came onboard such as the Sandy Lane Charitable Trust, Scotia Bank, Cariconsult Group of Companies, Crown Packaging, Pricewaterhouse Coopers, the City of Bridgetown Cooperative Credit Union and the various ministers who also contributed.
