However, as a health care institution, we remain committed to the safety of our patients. Consequently, the QEH will maintain the status quo during the coming weeks, and the current COVID-19 Protocols in place, will remain in effect until Tuesday, January 31st, 2023, pending review. This includes a continuation of: โข Mandatory mask-wearing for staff, visitors and patients โข Mandatory COVID-19 testing of patients on entry to the hospital via Accident & Emergency or hospital admission โข Isolation of COVID-19 positive QEH patients at designated isolation centers. In the meantime, an interdisciplinary Technical Working Group will be established under the guidance of the Office of the Director of Medical Services and the Infection Control Department. This Group will examine the existing practices and protocols that have been in place with a view of making changes where necessary. We thank the public of Barbados for its cooperation as we continue to provide a safe environment. Barbados Today Stay informed and engaged with our digital news platform.
