Share FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 513 Jamie Marshall is the owner of The Creative Queen 0211, a graphic design service that provides a range of products, from posters, flyers and logo designs to commercials and music videos and almost everything in between. The former student of Garrison Secondary, now renamed Graydon Sealy Secondary School, has been operating her business for the past seven months. Marshall said she decided to become an entrepreneur after a friend asked her to design a logo for a DJ. That request quickly expanded into her providing services for other members of the client’s family. “Soon after, I was creating graphic designs for her, her niece, and the DJ. She encouraged me to establish my own graphic design services so I can work from home and take care of my grandmother. I already had basic knowledge about entrepreneurship since I was a participant in the Youth Entrepreneurship Scheme. I decided to give it a try and was supported by my mother, who helped with the initial process of setting up the business,” she said. Marshall said one of the highlights of her career thus far has been having customers who praise her work and constantly support her business. “I have priced my services reasonably so that individuals who have a low budget can have their graphic design services done and know that they are not breaking the bank. This is one of the reasons many people patronise my service as they know they are getting quality services at an affordable cost,” she said. Going forward, Marshall said she wants to expand her St David’s, Christ Church business into printing services for T-shirts, mugs, caps and canvas. Outside of work, Marshall is passionate about her family. “I love spending time with my family, friends and my boyfriend. I enjoy playing video games, listening to music and shopping,” she said.
