Man, 35, succumbs to gunshot wound

Police are continuing investigations into the unnatural death of Shane Harvey of Palm View Avenue, Bayville, St Michael.

Harvey, 35, passed away at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Monday night while receiving medical treatment for a gunshot injury he sustained in an incident that occurred around 8:58 p.m. at a shop at Luke’s Avenue, Bayville, St Michael.

Police said when they initially went to the area, no one interviewed could confirm that shots were fired or that a shooting occurred.

They were however later informed that the victim had presented with a gunshot wound to the Emergency Department of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed or know about the incident to contact the Worthing Police Station at 430-7614/7615 or the Criminal Investigations Department at 430 7189 or Police Emergency at 211.
