It will be the first meeting between the rivals since last September’s women’s 100m at the Diamond League Final in Zurich, Switzerland, which Fraser-Pryce won in a blistering 10.65. Richardson finished seventh in that race, in 11.13. Kirani James and Ferdinand Omanyala are also set to compete in Botswana, in the men’s 400m and 100m, respectively. Grenada’s James completed a set of world 400m medals in Oregon last year, claiming silver to go with his 2011 gold and 2015 bronze. Kenya’s Omanyala, meanwhile, claimed Commonwealth Games and African 100m titles in 2022. Barbados Today Stay informed and engaged with our digital news platform.
