The winning time was 135.3 seconds. Ridden by Rasheed Hughes, the Canadian bred mare Rapunzel’s Dream, who is trained by Kenny John, had previously defeated her stablemate Neilos twice last year at 1570 metres. She was the only horse to defeat the Box Two owned Neilos at that distance in 2022. Neilos racked up his third second place finish this year in three starts, passing a fading Solar Kitten to cross the line behind Rapunzel’s Dream. A second entry for Darwin Clarke, the USA imported mare Solar Kitten tried hard to make all the running in her bid for her first victory in four starts in Barbados, but had to settle for third, as trainer Kenny John claimed a 1, 2, 3 finish. Whatyouthink, which is owned and trained by Naz Issa placed fourth. Races will continue on April 15th. Barbados Today Stay informed and engaged with our digital news platform.
