Barbados’ Nikkolia Kennedy has been awarded the bronze medal in the Under-20 boys 110-meter hurdles event at the CARIFTA Games in Nassau, Bahamas.
Kennedy clocked 14.02 seconds and was fourth initially but later received an upgrade to the bronze medal position.
Jamaica’s Shaquane Gordon who crossed the line third was disqualified.
The event was won by Gordon’s teammate Demario Prince (13.37) while hometown boy Otto Laing (13.49) took silver.
The result means Barbados’ medal tally moves from 10 to 11, equaling the 2019 and 2022 total. (AGB)
