Fire guts restaurant and damages two others at Worthing

 

Investigations are continuing into a fire that destroyed a restaurant, damaged another and a bar in Worthing, Christ Church.

The popular Jamaican restaurant, Reggae Jerk, at Worthing Square Food Garden was destroyed.

A team of eight fire officers from the Bridgetown and Worthing Fire Stations, under the leadership of Sub Officer Lonsdale Blake, battled the blaze which was first reported around 5:20 a.m.

Officials said the neighbouring restaurant, Crouching Tiger, received slight water damage as well as the Mount Gay Bar.
