The Central Bank of Barbados is mourning the loss of Charles Briggs, its Director of Facilities Management (FM).
“We are truly saddened at his passing,” said Governor Dr. Kevin Greenidge, who is currently out of the island. “For the past 11 years, Charles has led our Facilities Management Department, working to keep our buildings and environs in good condition and our staff comfortable and safe. We will miss him, and our hearts are with his wife, Yolanda, his daughters, Cara and Lee-Anne, and his other loved ones.”
Governor Greenidge revealed that the Bank has made counselling available for its employees. “We know this is a difficult time for his team in FM, and we are ensuring they and the wider staff have the support they need.”
The entire Bank extends condolences to Charles’ family and friends.
