Sometimes I think Barbados is not a real country and we live in a simulation. Who would think a modern airport serving the world does not have a listed emergency number.

Imagine citizens of Ocean City located next to Sun City, seeing a large kite flying in restricted airspace. Not only is there risk to aircraft, but to those on the ground.

Citizens of Ocean City, decide to call Grantley Adams Airport at 536-1302 and do not get even an operator. The prompts of seven for operations, and eight for security also went unanswered. Perhaps, some will blame artificial intelligence but I say, it’s inexcusable incompetence, ignorance and negligence.

I am hoping that no aircraft decides to take any sharp left turns out tonight under 1500 feet, for I have seen it happen before. It’s always best to prevent the preventable, and plan for worst-case scenarios while hoping for the best.
