He told reporters that lawmen received the report of a robbery at Sure Pay in Duty Free Bridgetown on Broad Street around 11:30 a.m. When officers responded, they confronted a knife-wielding man in front of the Barbados Public Workers’ Cooperative Credit Union on Broad Street. He refused to disarm himself as ordered by police and was shot him in the abdomen. An ambulance was summoned and the man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital where he is receiving treatment. ]]>
