The Electronic Unit of the Ministry of Transport Works and Water Resources will be installing Vehicle Detection Loops on Thursday, October 18 between 9:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. These will be placed in the roadway at the traffic signals along the junction of University Drive and Wanstead, St Michael. While the road will not be closed or impassable, motorists should expect some delays.

A Vehicle Detection Loop is a sensor placed in the road to detect the presence of a vehicle. They allow the traffic lights to change cycles faster when there is less vehicular demand at the junction

Motorists are asked to be aware of the installation of the Vehicle Detection Loops and to drive with due caution and attention.
