One of Barbados’ top rally drivers, Mark Maloney, will match skills with some of the region’s elite competitors registered for the Guyana Motor Racing and Sports Club’s (GMR&SC) ENET Caribbean Clash of Champions, scheduled for November 5 at the South Dakota Circuit.
On Wednesday, the GMR&SC unveiled a star-studded lineup for the event, including Jamaican sensation Doug Gore, Trinidadian speedster Franklyn Boodram, and a collection of other prominent drivers from the Caribbean.
They will go head-to-head with Guyana’s finest talents, such as Mark Vieira, Andrew King, Kevin Jeffrey and Vishok Persaud.
Described by GMR&SC as the most significant Group Four race since the Caribbean Championship era, the ENET Caribbean Clash of Champions has earned the nickname The Greatest Race of All Time.
This historic gathering will see legendary figures from Caribbean motorsport and their iconic machines sharing the same track once more.
The drivers will compete for supremacy on the newly rebuilt South Dakota Circuit, presenting a challenging battleground.
Adding to the excitement, GMR&SC has introduced new cars into the mix.
Jamaican racing legend Doug Gore will be at the helm of The Best, a car synonymous with his name, while Trinidadian ace Franklyn Boodram will pilot his Renault.
Mahendra Boodhoo, president of GMR&SC, expressed his enthusiasm for hosting the event, saying, “We are beyond excited to host this incredible event and witness some of the best drivers and riders from across the Caribbean go head-to-head in what promises to be a historic race.”
“The ENET Caribbean Clash of Champions not only showcases the skill and determination of these talented drivers but also marks a momentous occasion in Caribbean motorsport history.” (RT)
