In a news release Saturday, police said officers at District āCā Station received a report shortly before 5 a.m. on Friday that a man was injured as a result of a shooting incident, which occurred in the area of King George V Memorial Park. Investigations revealed that the man was walking in the area when he was approached by a male who shot him and ran away. The injured man ran to Congo Road where he received assistance and was subsequently transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by ambulance personnel. Investigations are ongoing.
