BFA also disclosed today that technical director Emmerson Boyce will take charge of the team as interim head coach for the two remaining matches of the 2023/2024 Concacaf Nations League against Nicaragua on November 17 and Montserrat on November 20. In a release that thanked Da Costa and Fernandes for their service, the BFA also announced that it will conduct a thorough recruitment process for a new, full-time head coach. “The BFA would like to take this time to thank Orlando and Ricardo for their service during what has been a difficult year and wish them success in the future. During their tenure with the men’s national team, Orlando and Ricardo led Barbados to a come-back away victory over Antigua & Barbuda to end the 2022/2023 Concacaf Nations League in March, and a 3-3 international friendly series draw against Grenada in February,” the release stated. BFA President Randy Harris said: “On behalf of everyone at the BFA, we want to thank Orlando and Ricardo sincerely for their contribution to Barbados’ Senior Men’s National Team. “Along with our adoring fans, we will all now put our full support behind Emmerson and the team as we focus on the rest of the Concacaf Nations League campaign. We have two remaining matches this month, and we will put every effort and commitment into those games so that we can end on a high.” (BFA) You Might Be Interested In Crystal Beckles-Holder, 2nd runner up in regional competition Business owners disappointed Police investigate shooting Barbados Today Stay informed and engaged with our digital news platform.
