Hundreds welcome 2024 in grand style

As the clock struck midnight in Barbados, scores gathered at various hotspots to welcome the new year amid a dazzling display of fireworks which illuminated the night’s sky.

Visitors and locals alike embraced each other, spreading good vibes and best wishes for 2024.

At First Street Holetown, St James, revellers told Barbados TODAY that this spot was the place to be – with plenty night clubs ready to welcome them to party like there’s no tomorrow.

For some jet-setters, visiting Barbados for 2024 was a big check on their bucket list – with travellers coming from as far as Madagascar and Grande Comore.

A group from Manchester, England, said celebrating New Year’s in Barbados had become a family tradition, passed down from their grandparents. (RT)
