Police investigate viral video

A senior police officer has been appointed to investigate a viral video on social media which appears to show questionable behaviour by a female police officer.
The video shows a young man in handcuffs being verbally abused.
In a statement, the Barbados Police Service confirmed the matter has been engaging its attention.
It said: “Over the last 24 hours, The Barbados Police Service (TBPS) has become aware of a posting on social media, which appears to portray one of our members behaving in an unprofessional manner. The Police Service as a professional organisation frowns upon such behaviour. As a consequence, the Police Service has appointed a senior officer to investigate this matter.” (BT/TBPS)
