Police Public Affairs and Communication Officer Inspector Rodney Inniss disclosed that Watson passed away after 7 p.m. on Saturday at his home surrounded by family members. He was 80 years old. Watson, regarded as a top crime sleuth served as the island’s crime chief from 1995 to 2003. He was also the Executive Director of the Regional Security System (RSS). He spent 52 years in the field of security- 39 serving in the Barbados Police Service and 13 at the RSS. Commissioner of Police Richard Boyce, senior administrative officials, and the rank and file officers of the Barbados Police Service have expressed condolences to the family.
