Tharel Thompson, 28, was left fighting for his life in hospital — in an induced coma — after being stabbed in the head in the early hours of Sunday, February 11. In an update on social media on Friday, Tharel’s mother, Yvonne Thompson, said he is now “fully awake and has very good memory”. Thompson said her son’s doctor is pleased with the progress he has made so far. “The doctor who initially saw him when the incident happened said that he is making remarkable progress,” she said. Thompson said Tharel is still being fed via a feeding tube but is now able to swallow a tablespoon of water. The spring baths are in Barbados, so he’s a little bit confused sometimes to which country he’s in,” Thompson explained. “His right side is working very well. The left side — he did say that he can feel pain in his arm, his knee and his ankle. So, with all the therapy and so on the feeling on his left side will come back. Thompson is asking people “to continue praying” for Tharel and to also donate to a GoFundMe she started to help cover his hospital costs. A man has since appeared in court charged with attempted murder over the stabbing. (DLB) Desmond Brown You may also like 69 BDF recruits complete training 22/12/2024 ThenWhat?
