The identity of the deceased had not been released up to late Monday. According to police, motor car with one male occupant overturned and struck a utility pole around 4:14 p.m. The man died on the scene. The accident, which resulted in the pole and live electrical wires being downed, resulted in a power outage in the area. Personnel from the Barbados Light and Power Company responded.
