The victim has been identified as Garfield Decourtney Thorpe, 63, of Kingsland Terrace, Christ Church. Police said that around 11:40 Friday night, two vehicles were involved in a collision along the Adams section of the ABC Highway at its junction with Kingsland Road, Christ Church, in the area of the Deighton Griffith Secondary School. Thorpe, who was the sole occupant in a Daihatsu Terios, died at the scene. Both the driver and his front seat passenger — a female — in the other vehicle had minor injuries, and were taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for medical treatment. The investigation is ongoing.
