Man dies after traffic collision in St Philip

A 56-year-old man has died following a hit-and-run collision in St Philip early Saturday morning, police say.

The victim has been identified as Anderson Benedict Graham of Long Bay Village Road, St Philip.

Shortly before 2 a.m. police were informed about the body of a man about 40 metres away from the Salvation Army Church on Long Bay main road, St Philip.

Police said the discovery was confirmed by personnel from the District C police station. 

Graham was pronounced dead by a medical doctor who visited the scene. 

According to police, it appears Graham was struck by a vehicle, which did not stop at the scene. 

Police are appealing to the public for information pertaining to the vehicle and the driver involved.
