Both teams entered the match unbeaten, setting the stage for a tense encounter. The first half saw Bermuda dominating possession, with Z-Ani Jennings, Carter Thomas, and Jeon Wolfe creating several opportunities. However, Barbadosโ defence held firm, thwarting Bermudaโs attempts to break the deadlock. The second half brought more excitement as both teams pushed for a winner. Bermudaโs Jennings hit the crossbar in the 36th minute, while Barbadosโ Small responded by striking the woodwork shortly after. The end-to-end action continued throughout the half, with both sides coming close to scoring. Barbados had a chance to take the lead when Johnsonโs free-kick forced a superb save from Bermudaโs goalkeeper Xavier Thomas-Bassett. At the other end, Wolfe and Furbert threatened but couldnโt find the back of the net. With the match ending goalless, penalties were required to determine the winner. Barbados held their nerve, converting four of their spot-kicks through Sacha Pounder, Amari Small, Maleek Peters, and Jamarco Johnson. Bermudaโs Deacon Wade, Solomon Salaam, and Carter Thomas successfully scored their penalties, but it wasnโt enough to secure victory.
