Murder is among a raft of serious charges that sent an 18-year-old man on remand at Dodds on Thursday.

Jonathan Antonio Campbell of Block 1A Meadow Road,Wildey, St Michael is accused of murdering Kevin Haynes on July 8 and using a firearm without a valid licence to do so.

Campbell, who appeared before Chief Magistrate Ian Weekes, could not enter a plea to the indictable charges and five others. Those include doing serious bodily harm to Keshawn Reynolds with intent to maim, disfigure or disable him or to do some serious bodily harm to him on January 25 as well as using a firearm without a valid licence to do so; and damaging, on January 8, two motor cars — one belonging to Teresa Hamilton and the other to Jason Calderon. He is also accused of criminally damaging a door belonging to Helen Gill and faces another count of using an unlicensed firearm.

Campbell denied the charge of assaulting Noel Mitchell causing him actual bodily harm on April 29, 2023.

The accused teenager will make his next appearance before the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court on September 26.
