When Kadeem Juron Small, 26, went before Chief Magistrate Ian Weekes in the No. 1 District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, he was not required to plead to the indictable offence. The alleged offence occurred on May 9 this year. Though the prosecution maintained its objection to bail, Small’s attorney Angella Mitchelle-Gittens SC mitigated successfully that her client deserved to be released on bail.Though agreeing to Small’s pretrial release, the chief magistrate attached some strict conditions to his bail. He will have to report to the Oistins Police Station every Tuesday and Saturday by 1 p.m. He was also ordered to stay away from the complainant. The case was adjourned until February 11, 2025.
