Police report that Anderson Lovell, 52, of Butler’s Avenue, Gall Hill perished after being in involved in a collision involving a Mitsubishi flat bed motor truck that occurred along Sargeant’s Village main road around 4:15 p.m. According to police, the truck was travelling towards Wildey, while Lovell who was riding an electric bicycle was travelling towards Sheraton Centre. “On reaching a point in the road he overtook two parked route taxis and encroached the path of the oncoming truck and collided with the front right side of the truck.” Personnel from the Barbados Ambulance Service visited the scene and determined there were no signs of life. A medical doctor subsequently pronounced death. Police are continuing investigations.
