(PMO) Share FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 1K It is with deep sadness that I extend my deepest condolences, as well as condolences on behalf of the Prime Minister and the Government of Barbados on the untimely and unfortunate death of Shamir Alleyne last Saturday. Shamir, who was employed by a private company contracted to provide well cleaning services for a Hope Inc., Housing Project at Lancaster, St. James, was injured on site in what was a tragic accident. He succumbed to his injuries a few days later. It was with a heavy heart that I visited Shamir’s family earlier this week to personally extend my condolences to his mother Bernice and other relatives and friends. While no words or actions can fill the void or repair the hurt occasioned by his passing, I am committed to supporting Shamir’s mum and the entire family as they navigate this difficult period. Our thoughts and prayers are with them. Barbados Today Stay informed and engaged with our digital news platform. The leading online multimedia news resource in Barbados for news you can trust.
