BFA Youth Football Tournament kicks off this weekend

The Barbados Football Association (BFA) has officially confirmed that the 2025 BFA Youth Football Tournament will return this weekend, with action set to begin on Saturday.

The tournament will feature the Under-13, Under-15, and Under-17 teams, with matches scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The games will take place at five locations across the island: Parkinson Field and Parkinson Community Centre, Blenheim (A and B), Lumber Company, Bush Hall, Speightstown Playing Field and the BFA Technical Centre (Wildey Turf and Phillip Blagrove Training Pitch).

In addition, the BFA confirmed that the Under-9s and Under-11s age groups will resume play on Saturday, May 10. The Under-16 Girls tournament is also set to commence in the coming weeks.

BFA President Randy Harris welcomed the return of youth football for 2025, reaffirming the association’s commitment to nurturing and developing the next generation of Barbadian football talent.

“The BFA Youth Football Tournament is a critical development platform that enables our young players to get out onto the pitch, week after week, and refine their skills against a variety of other young players and clubs,” he said. “The BFA remains committed to providing our youth with opportunities that help them to thrive and reach their full potential, and to continuing to create sustainable pathways to develop youth and grassroots football in Barbados.”

2025 BFA Youth Football Tournament Clubs are: Atlas FC, Barbados Soccer Academy, Cave Hill FC, Deacons FC, Eden Stars FC, Evans Maughn Academy, First Touch Soccer Academy, FM Four Pillars, Kickstart Rush, King Park Rangers FC, Mavericks, National Sports Council, Notre Dame FC, Paradise FC, Pinelands FC, Potential Ballers FC, Pride of Gall Hill, Pro, Shottas, RF Prime, St Philip Football Academy, Technique FC, United Stars Alliance, UWI Soccer Bim, Valerie Football Youth Club and Whitehall Academy

The 2025 BFA Youth Football Tournament will run until November. (PR/BT)
