Pickwick fielded a team which included West Indies Women’s Captain Hayley Matthews, but this wasn’t enough to overcome the pace attack of a vibrant BCA Youth squad. Pacers Jakeem Pollard and Damani Roach shared nine wickets to dismiss the Pickwick team for 62 runs in 25 overs at Cane Garden. Pollard ended with 5 wickets for 19 runs, which included the wicket of Matthews, bowled for 2. Opening fast bowling partner Roach grabbed 4 for 32 as both bowlers sent down 10 overs each. In reply, the Youth team secured first innings points when they ended the day’s play on 158 for 9 in 36 overs. Williams finished with figures of 5 for 76 from 19 overs while preventing Wildey of gaining maximum batting points after being bowled out under 300 runs.
