Republic Bank has congratulated the crew of Remember Me Now on their performance in the 2025 Sir Charles Williams International Game Fishing Tournament.

Flying the Barbadian flag with pride and precision, Remember Me Now captured top honours in multiple categories, including Top Female Angler – Anita Ward, Top Junior Angler – Andrew King, and Top Local Boat.

The bank stated that these wins reflect the crew’s outstanding teamwork, discipline, and deep love for the sport, qualities that have made them a standout in the regional fishing circuit.

“We are incredibly proud of Remember Me Now’s performance at this year’s tournament,” said Republic Bank’s Managing Director and CEO, Carlene Seudat.

“Securing a second-place overall finish and dominating in several categories speaks volumes about the talent, teamwork, and determination of this exceptional crew. At Republic Bank, we are committed to supporting initiatives that empower communities and celebrate excellence, and this team truly embodies both.”

Captain Malcolm Thompson of Remember Me Now expressed his pride in the 11-member crew’s performance, saying, “We faced several setbacks and challenges, including the influx of the Sargassum seaweed, but the team stuck to the game plan, and that worked to our benefit. At the end, we got the lion’s share of the prizes.”

Thompson expressed gratitude to the organisers, competitors and sponsors for their roles in making the tournament a success.

“The prizes in this year’s tournament are arguably the best on offer in the region thus far. To our main sponsor, Republic Bank, a heartfelt thanks for staying with us over the years. Your support has given us the opportunity to not only compete in these tournaments but also gives the juniors and female anglers a chance to hone their skills under your banner.”

The tournament, which sailed out of the Port St Charles Marina in April, drew elite, regional and international fishing teams. (PR)
