Jakobi Amani Jamal Norman, of 24B Haynesville, was arrested and formally charged in connection with a robbery committed against Janelle Mayers on August 8, 2025, as well as two counts of loitering on August 10. He appeared before Chief Magistrate Ian Weekes in the District โAโ Criminal Court #1, where he pleaded guilty to all offences. Norman was sentenced to 18 months at the Barbados Prison Service (Dodds), with an additional one-week sentence for breaching a previous bond. The sentences are to run consecutively.
