FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 234 More students sat the Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination (CAPE) this year, with the vast majority passing, according to Chief Education Officer Ramona Bradshaw. She reported that 4,699 students registered for CAPE in 2025 compared to 4,406 in 2024, with 4,607 writing the exams. Overall, 94.2 per cent of candidates achieved Grades 1 to 5, including 92.7 per cent of males and 95.3 per cent of females. “For the CAPE, a total of 17 institutions were entered, and of these, 11 were sixth form schools,” Bradshaw told the award ceremony for this year’s scholarship and exhibition winners. For CSEC, there were 23,535 entries from 21,758 candidates, and 67 per cent earned a passing grade.About 12 per cent achieved Grade 1, 24.3 per cent secured Grade 2, and around 31 per cent Grade 3. Bradshaw said these results provide valuable context for the nation’s celebration of its top achievers. A full report on the 2025 examination results will be published in the coming weeks.
