Bayview launches Executive Medical Programme for preventative health screenings

Just five months after opening its urgent care department, Bayview Hospital is expanding its services once again – this time with a focus on prevention and proactive health management.

The new Bayview Executive Medical Programme offers business leaders, employees, families, and individuals the opportunity to complete their comprehensive preventative health checks in a comfortable, confidential, and private setting.

Initially designed for busy executives but open to everyone, the programme features four comprehensive packages that assess health risk factors and support individuals in achieving their wellness goals. Each package involves a half to full day visit to the new state-of-the-art Bayview Urgent Care, where everything from X-rays, ultrasounds, blood tests and physician consultations are available in one convenient location.

“Our Executive Medical Programme is another first for Bayview,” explains Zahra Ashby, patient care coordinator at Bayview Hospital. “From PSA testing and liver function evaluations to CT Calcium Scoring, 3D mammograms and even hearing and vision assessments can be done here on the Bayview compound. It is truly a seamless and private medical experience.”

The Gold Executive Medical Package (Tier 1) provides a comprehensive baseline assessment, including a physician consultation, a review of your health history, vital sign measurements, and immunisation updates.

Laboratory testing includes evaluations for diabetes, cholesterol, and urine, as well as screenings for HPV, PSA, and cardiac risk assessment.

The Platinum Package (Tier 2) builds on this foundation with additional kidney function tests, complete blood counts, nutritional counselling, and fitness assessments. It also includes abdominal ultrasounds, chest X-rays, and 3D mammograms for women over 40.

For those seeking a deeper level of insight, the Diamond and Sapphire packages offer expanded wellness assessments with advanced laboratory testing, cancer markers, and referrals to specialists for continued care.

Together, these options make Bayview one of the few facilities in the Caribbean to offer such comprehensive preventative care in a single location. This latest addition to the Bayview suite of services further underscores the hospital’s mission to help Barbadians live longer, healthier lives through early detection and proactive care.
