Police at District B Station said the crash occurred around 3:18 p.m. at the junction of Searles Road and Leadvale. Initial investigations indicate that the motorcyclist was travelling towards Lowlands while the motorvan was travelling in the opposite direction when the collision took place. The motorcyclist was transported by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. Investigations are continuing. Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision to contact the District B Police Station at 437-4311.
