Communities in the immediate environment, as well as those of Arthur Seat, Redman’s Village, Welches, Melrose, Lower Edgehill, Jackson, Clermont and Warrens may be affected by heavy smoke. Persons with asthma or other pre-existing respiratory conditions are advised, if affected, to avoid these areas until conditions improve. Additionally, anyone who feels unwell due to the smoke should seek immediate medical attention at a healthcare facility. Emergency responders are taking all necessary steps to control the fire at Bs Recycling, in an effort to mitigate any serious health impacts.
