Semifinal lineup decided in four-hand domino tournament

Carlton & A1 Braves will meet Peace & Love in one semifinal, while French Village Piranhas face 37 Family KC Joint in the other, following the quarterfinal round of the Barbados National Dominoes Association’s four-hand knockout tournament.

Peace & Love booked their place in emphatic fashion on Sunday at the BDF, overpowering Police 75-52. The victory was powered by standout performances from Colton Cc Crichlow and Thomas Beardy Clarke, along with Duane Duice Johnson and Keithley Boyce, who each delivered 17 points in a dominant display that kept their opponents under constant pressure throughout.

BNECL had things going their way for the majority of the game, but came up short when it really mattered, as they were beaten 68-60 by 37 Family KC Joint.

Carlton & A1 Braves also advanced after getting 17 points from Carolin Chihuahua Harbin-Goddard and Siebert Saunders-Jordan, as they knocked out arch rivals HIV Commission Hillside by a 72-54 margin.

The remaining semifinal spot went to French Village Piranhas, who demolished RM Cleaners 82-58, with Adrian Hinds and Sabrina Walcott along with Alvin Cox and Donna Scantlebury grabbing 17 points each.

Becky’s Bar hosted the Mixed Pairs Final on June 19, which was won by  Adrian Hinds and Sabrina Walker from French Village, with David Braithwaite and Sherrol Redman finishing in second position.

The pairs of Michael Griffith and Tracey Ann Hunte, along with Johnaton Grandison and Sharon Lynch, finished third and fourth respectively.

In related news, Police, RM Cleaners and Central Bank advanced to the final, following the semis of the three-hand knockout tournament at   Thelma’s Bar in River Land St Philip.

The final is set for June 25 at the James Bryan Pavilion, Market Hill St George.
