Playing over the weekend Phoenix took an early lead through Alanna Quintyne who scored first during end-to-end play. Jasmine Sealy restored parity for the Scorpions shortly before half-time, leaving the teams locked at five points each at the break. When play resumed, experienced player Emilie Trotman gave Phoenix the lead with a mammoth try, but the following conversion attempt was unsuccessful. Sealy then overcame the spirited Phoenix defence to lock the scores at 10 points each, where it remained for the rest of the game. In the second game, the youthful Lady Pelicans shut out Bajan Pride Women 10-0, with Leslie Griffith and Kiemara Forde scoring in the first and second halves respectively.
