The Barbados Aquatic Sports Association (BASA) unveiled the squad ahead of the championships which take place from 14โ16. BASA President Glyne Harrison said earning selection to the national team represents a major achievement in the development of each athleteโs swimming career.ย โTo earn the opportunity to represent Barbados is a tremendous achievement and one that reflects the commitment, perseverance and determination shown by these young athletes in this demanding sport.ย โWearing the Barbados colours is both an honour and a responsibility, and I have every confidence that Team Barbados will represent our country with pride, discipline and sportsmanship,โ he said.ย BASAโs VP-Swimming, Sharon Small, also paid tribute to the families, coaches, and clubs whose unwavering support has helped shape the athletesโ development.ย โThe success of our athletes is built upon the dedication of many people. Stacey N. Blunte has been appointed as team manager, while the association has named Amiya Harrison and Walton Yarbrough as team captains.
