In a 6 a.m. bulletin the BMS said satellite imagery showed a thick plume of moderate dust haze over the island and its waters. Dust concentrations are expected to gradually decrease through the morning, with conditions forecast to improve during the afternoon, the meteorological service added. The advisory is due to expire at noon on Tuesday. Authorities urged residents to monitor updates from the BMS, the Department of Emergency Management and the Government Information Service, as well as local media, and to follow guidance from the Ministry of Health and Wellness.
