“We pay close attention to everyone who walks through the door. I think it’s important that everyone feels special when they come to Martindale’s. I make sure I engage with my customers. When you have a conversation with a person, you can work out what their style is and what will work for them, as well as introduce them to something new that they never considered,” she says.
“I have noticed that the retail industry has moved away from giving customers that attention, but we continue to give the personal touch with each interaction. I try to anticipate my client’s needs before they even say it. I want them to look and feel amazing after having a Martindale’s experience.” 
The veteran fashion retailer noted that labels from Caribbean designers are among the well-known quality brands carried in store.
“It’s so important to promote local and Caribbean designers. Courtney Washington from Jamaica and Kimmy Sticclo from St Vincent are two of the regional designers’ lines that we carry, and a Barbadian designer will be launching her line at Martindale’s in a few months. Not only are the styles and quality amazing, but they also choose the right fabric for our climate. Women wanted pieces that will keep them cool; not everything out of North America is ideal for our climate.”
