Another Barbadian man has found himself on remand at Her Majesty’s Prison Dodds in connection with gun and ammunition charges.
It is alleged that 33-year-old Damian Andre Maradonna Welch, of St Paul’s Avenue, Bayville, St Michael had a firearm in his possession on November 3 without having a licence to permit him to do so. He is also charged that on that same day he had ten rounds of ammunition without a valid permit.
He was not required to plead to the indictable charges on his appearance before Magistrate Kim Butcher in the District ‘B’ Magistrates’ Court located at Horse Hill, St Joseph.
That accused’s case is being prosecuted by Station Sergeant Glenda Carter-Nicholls while Queen’s Counsel Michael Lashley, Simon Clarke and Ken Mason are his defense counsel.
Welch will make his next appearance before the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court on December 10 where the cases have been transferred.
