That’s because just after midnight they rang in 2022 by welcoming new bundles of joy. The Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) reports the birth of seven babies – four boys and three girls, up to press time. The first baby of 2022 was born to Cherise Tabois. The bouncing baby boy came at 12:49 am, weighing seven pounds. Cherise Tabois welcomed the first baby of 2022, a bouncing baby boy. The second baby to arrive, around 1:30 am, was a beautiful little girl, born to Shakerah Wood. She weighed six pounds. The second baby and first girl born for the New Year got lots of love from her mum Shakerah Wood. Tara Chase also welcomed a darling baby girl at 1:45 am and she weighed seven pounds. Tarah Chase had a million reasons to smile when her baby girl arrived. At around 3:02 am, the fourth baby and second boy arrived to Daidreann Alleyne, weighing around six pounds. Daidreann Alleyne was over the moon to welcome her baby boy into the world. The fifth baby born was another male infant to Shanice Foster at 11:27 am. He weighed eight pounds. Shanice Foster cuddling her bundle of joy. Shortly after noon, Shontelle Cox delivered the sixth baby, a daughter weighing six pounds. An overjoyed new mum, Shontelle Cox, delivered the sixth baby for the year. Asma Bhamji’s baby boy arrived around 2:35 this afternoon also weighing six pounds. QEH’s public relations officer Lyn-Marie Deane told Barbados TODAY that the new mummies and babies were all doing well. No babies were reported delivered at the Bayview Hospital today.
