Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions Alliston Seale SC and defence attorney Senior Counsel Michael Lashley extended greetings to the judge as he sat in with Madam Justice Laurie-Ann Smith-Bovell in the No. 4 Supreme Court during the day’s proceedings. “I want to welcome you to Barbados and congratulate you on your appointment as the newest High Court judge. I want to extend the heartiest congratulations on behalf of the Director of Public Prosecutions and all the members of staff,” Seale stated. Lashley also welcomed Justice Wells to his new post. “That is coming from me and the members behind me, as it would be remiss of me not to congratulate you on your appointment,” the defence attorney said.
