The Ministry of Health and Wellness’ fogging exercise will be conducted in a number of St James and St Michael districts this week.

The Vector Control Unit will fog areas in St James, for the first three days of the week.

On Monday it will target Bakers, Sion Hill, Turtleback Ridge, Sion Hill Terrace No. 1 and No. 2, Waterhall Terrace No. 1, and environs.

The team will visit the following districts on Tuesday: St Silas Heights Nos.1 through 5, Waterhall Terrace No. 2, and Westmoreland.

On Wednesday, Indian Ground Road, Orunmila Drive, Four Hill, Lonesome Hill, Hibiscus Drive, and surrounding areas will be sprayed.

St Michael will receive the Unit’s attention for the remainder of the week.

On Thursday it will go into Jackmans, Lears Road, Skeete’s Road, Tamarind Road, Avocado Avenue, Cherry Avenue, Lower Estates Heights, Friendship, Lears Drive, and Clarke’s Road.

Fogging for the week will conclude on Friday in Henry Durant Road, Friendship Terrace, Lowland Drive, Mahaica, and Storey Gap.

Fogging takes place from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. daily. Householders are reminded to open their windows and doors to allow the spray to enter. Children should not be allowed to play in the fog.

Members of the public are advised that the completion of scheduled fogging activities may be affected by events beyond the Unit’s control. In such circumstances, the Unit will return to the affected communities in the soonest possible time. (PR)
