Teen to answer today for $182,400 cannabis haul

An 18-year-old St Joseph woman is expected to answer drug charges in court today after police seized suspected cannabis valued at more than $182,000.

Police identified her as Ocean Maat Lolita Hinds, of Lammings, St Joseph. The offences are alleged to have been committed on Friday, December 5.

Hinds is charged with:
-Possession of cannabis
-Trafficking of cannabis
-Intent to supply cannabis
-Importation of cannabis

The 22.80 kilogram seizure carries an estimated street value of $182,400, investigators said.

She is scheduled to appear in the District ‘B’ Magistrates’ Court today, Monday, December 8.
