Man killed in Cox Road shooting identified

Police have identified the man who was fatally shot in Cox Road, Frere Pilgrim, Christ Church early Sunday morning as 24-year-old Tyrese Skinner of Fustic Village, St Lucy.

Officers received a report around 1:04 a.m. of gunshots being discharged in the area of a business establishment. Investigations revealed that several shots were heard and a man who had attended an event at the establishment was found lying in the car park nearby.

He was transported by private vehicle to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Investigations are continuing.
